The Long “About Me”
When I think about what Petite Stylebook is for me, it’s about creativity, growth and authenticity. At a time when I feel so much pressure to “brand myself” professionally, I want to come here and be free to write and create anything. I want talk about style, beauty, design, faith, sewing, crafting because all of these things inspire and fuel me. All these areas are a big part of who I am – I think about them daily. I want to look back at this a year from now and see how I’ve grown, to see how my craft and aesthetic have evolved.
I want talk about style, beauty, design, faith, sewing, crafting because all of these things inspire and fuel me.
I want this to be a place to explore all the areas that make me, “me.” I am a woman. A woman of faith. A designer. A crafter. I always have a new design or craft project lined up because I can’t do the same exact thing over and over. I love clothes and beauty. I grew up wanting to be a fashion designer but personally I don’t feel the need to dress to the nines daily. And that’s okay, because I don’t have to be an every day fashionista to love style.
I’m SoCal born and raised. I’m currently an Angeleno. I’m Asian American, and I value my Filipino heritage. I want Petite Stylebook to be a place where I accept and love who I am and not fret about looking different from the others.
I want this to be a place to share. A place of authenticity. A place to explore womanhood, faith and creativity. To embrace who I am instead of fixating on what I’m not. To live passionately and have a space to celebrate life and all it’s complexity, beauty, and brilliance.
